How or why do you deal with them?

I know nothing about that life because no one in my family are degenerates. So I’ve never had a “Gator” dancing for crack money. Or a drunk aunt that we have to hide the car keys from.

Do you give them chances/money? Do you try and help or do you cut them off completely?

The hard thing is you can only do what you feel is the wise and productive thing. They will still have other people in their life who will enable them and that throws a monkey wrench in the works of their recovery.

I just simply don’t talk to them (I have quite a few alcoholics in my family) unless it’s at a family reunion and even then I try to keep my distance from them. :yeshrug:
I speak and show love if I see them about and about, but nah, we not chilling at the house or nothing.

I don't believe in inviting chaos into a life cultivated to be peaceful. Sorry not sorry. :yeshrug:

Had close family members hooked on opioids it is no laughing matter breh. You see people you grew up with and trusted, are now people who are totally dishonest because their first priority is getting High. They lives fall apart before your eyes. It Is heartbreaking.

It is hard to turn away from a brother or sister even if they are hooked.
