do you get anxiety/panic attacks when NOT smoking weed? im not a little bytch so i still smoke weed. but i never had these before i started smoking weed. im not really bothered because the panic/anxiety comes and goes randomly when im alone. so its not like im having anxiety all the time.

and when i say panic attack im not sweating or hyperventilating or anything like that. its just my heart goes crazy and i start overthinking about life and death and shyt.

i think the answer is to only smoke weed when im having anxiety attacks. because the whole system of grinding and rolling up takes my mind off the anxiety anyway. then when smoking you focusing on the breath which is like meditation.

the problem is i have trouble leaving weed when i have it. if i have it then its all getting smoked in that day. i dont know how to save and ration my weed so i can use it when i get anxiety.

im not gonna stop smoking weed because that doesnt solve anything. weed is great. i aint worried about a little panic attack once a day that last like 5 minutes at most :manny:

what are your thoughts on weed and anxiety? i wish i had a choice of strains like in a medical state :noah: i hear you got strains just for anxiety :noah:

My homie doesn't smoke because he has anxiety already and weed sends it into over drive. You should probably stop, because its only gonna get worse and longer.

the problem is once you get your first anxiety attacks they never really go away. like before i started to get these myself i used to think people were little bytches complaining about panic attacks and anxiety. cus i never had physical anxiety symptoms or panic attacks so i had no idea what they were.

but once you have your first one you know what it feels like so its always lingering in the background. i describe it as the "fear of god". cus thats what it feels like to me. i can deal with normal fear cus of my boxing background. but anxiety is on another level of fear. its crazy really.

and the feeling you get when a panic attack stops and you return to normal is GOAT :noah: like i just had a random anxiety attack earlier today. and now its passed i feel great and i aint even smoked any weed since monday. :noah:

@Emperor_ReinScarf whats your thoughts on this? ive been lurking anxiety/panic threads and i see you know the struggle. :myman:

i think it depends on the person. i got a lot of depression and mental illness running in my family so i think the weed bought it out a little. but i still love weed its my favorite plant in the world :noah:

Occupy your time with something constructive when you're not high and you won't get these anxiety attacks...

Just hit the gym a few times a week.

Also try meditation while you're NOT high. Just sit for 10-15 minutes a day and don't think about anything. It will be hard at first because our brains are not wired that way in 2015, but over time it will get easier and easier and after a while it won't take as long to get into that meditative state.

Try it for a few months every day...then up it to like 30 minute sessions, but don't go beyond like 45 minutes. You'll get loopy.

And if you ever see something that you can't comprehend, stop meditating for a bit and work on the physical for a few months. Let your psyche adjust to that new state of mind.

You'll be calmer, more relaxed, less prone to anger. Hell you probably won't even want to burn as much. You'll become more empathetic to the people around you (friends, family) and shyt even strangers.

Remember..don't think...I know...you like damn I'm THINKING about meditating so how am I not thinking. You'll be thinking about food, your girl, bills all sorts of shyt.

Shut that shyt out, ride the wave, calm yourself down. Chill.

Also, only begin about an hour and a half after a meal, especially if it's a big one. Give your body time to do it's thing or you'll become distracted by the little things like food moving through your system.

Use your phone as a timer...set the timer to like 25 minutes...this way you KNOW you're getting at least 15 minutes of calm.

And go outside if you can...sit in the park man get some fresh air.

absolutely i do a lot of exercise and meditation. the problem is with me when i have downtime and im by myself thats when i get them. ive never had anxiety while i was outside or around people. just when im at the crib killing time with nothing to do.

You have underlying anxiety issues. Weed sometimes brings it to the fore front. I've smoked for the past 14 years and the first 7/8 I always had anxiety at random times. The past 5/6 years I've overcame anxiety for the most part when I'm sober and now it doesn't creep in when I'm high.

i've gotten them both on and off trees,but thy've done so much shyt now that i haven't had a panic attack in years from just trees alone,when you go full fledged bar-barian bodhi-sativa(sattva)and actually live it the panic attacks will subside(at least from having/not having trees)

thy panic attacks now are Hopi Web Spider Senses,they either blare like a siren and thy start snarling&drooling (like Pavlov ran his tests on wolves) or tis just the usual static thoughts..:manny:

Read some books on philosophy or history. I enjoy shyt like that because often I reflect on the fact that humanity forgets all the shyt that comes before it since we're continuously striving to improve and get better. But that's just me...it's not the same for everyone..

Write some shyt down...anything really. Poem...article on something that interests you...

Post on The Coli ( :ehh: )

Video games perhaps?

Depression is worrying about past shyt, anxiety is worrying about future shyt, live in the now, occupy idle time with things that bring you happiness and make you chill
