To me he is top 3 ever and my favourite rap artist.

1 - Jay-Z
2 - Pac
3 - Prodigy.
4 - Nas
5 - Kanye (:ehh: sue me)

While he does get respect, it just seems weird to me that a lot of yall probably wouldnt even put him in your top 10 of all time. It doesnt make any sense to me whatsoever. Because he fell off? Come on. His features, 3 mobb deep classics and HNIC should be enough to put him in the definitive top 10 discussion with opinions aside but he gets snubbed alot. Even Return of the Mac was a solid release. It just doesnt make sense I dunno...

- He had a distinctive style
- One of the best flows and voices
- Has plenty of spine chilling bars full of imagery...i dont think anyone starts a verse better than P or paints a better picture
- He came up during the best period of rap and was widely considered one of the best, perhaps even Nas' rival.

I'm a self admitted stan but someone please help me out. :mindblown:

Because I know yall done heard this shyt:

Outside of HNIC 3... his solo catalog is pretty tough. Return of the Mac is crazy... HNIC 1 & 2...

When I heard these joints i couldnt believe Prodigy came back with some good music. Even back in 08 when Young Veterans and Click Clack came out. It wasnt the old Prodigy but still ill as fukk.

I don't know where I'd put him but I will say '96 prodigy was an elite mc

97-2000 prodigy was still elite to me breh.

 Even when he isnt going in on the mic (like he did on Apostles Warning) i always feel like his flow, voice and slang make the verse sound slick as shyt. Murda Muzik is a perfect example, I love that song.

Murda Muzik wasn't the best Mobb album, but that was P's lyrical peak imo. He was straight destroying every verse up there.

It's crazy how slept on Murda Muzik is

Hell on Earth to me was the pinnacle but Murda Muzik is no slouch.

How can anybody think Prodigy fell off or that the album isnt at least a 9/10 caliber. Beyond me :manny: That last verse on Streets Raised me :wow:

Probably somewhere in my top 30, would be higher if he didn't fall off after '99.

And while were at it....I have been wanting to make another thread for some time but I dont know how Havoc is considered a poor rapper. Havoc has always been dope as fukk to me.

My favourite verses probably being on Hectic or Up North Trip, Havoc was never shyt but I remember reading in the past...people saying stuff like he used to ruin songs :what:

Disrespectful. Not only is Havoc a top 10 producer to me (and probably my favourite), he's probably in my top 25 rappers. I've never understood how people feel the need to discredit one rapper in a duo to big up another.

Havoc, Big Boi, and Phife among others are all legends in their own right

Idk exactly where I'd rank him, but P is an elite emcee. I was young during the Tim's he dominated, but I remember gravitating towards his music more than Big's (and I still do). His "Drop a Gem On Em" is one of the hardest Pac dissension of all-time. I think him n Lac would've really put on a show for Hip Hop if that battle would have gotten a chance to go back n forth. He's also had a very big impact on the culture because he's one of the first to talk about all that illuminati shyt on a major level.
