pull your phone out

never have conversations with your manager when you are still. make sure you are moving at all times. that way, when they strike up a convo, just walk to the stock room or some shyt.

if it's really bad and you don't care about upsetting the other person, just look away and start typing.

drag a co worker into the conversation and then dip out and have your co worker stuck listening to the manager. if they're a cac then they will be geniuinely interested in the managers convo anyway.
