Just got finished reading this book called "Sex, Lies and Headlocks". This is probably the closets anyone will ever get to a book written by Vince. Very interesting book especially for anyone who wants to know about Vince's beginning and the whole steroid era.

Other interesting notes from the book:

Had no idea Vince was sexually abused by his moms

Vince always knew PPV was the way to go in the future and to make money. Did his first ppv with a Evil Knievel stunt

When Vince heard about Starcade 87 being on ppv, he decided to put on Survior Series. Because of Wrestlemania sucess the PPV provider said to Starcade and catered to Vince making Starcade 87 a flop in ppv buys.

Vince lost 20M with that No holds barred movie and lost 9.5M with the Sugar Ray fight he promoted as well.

Warriors nickname being "Anabolic Warrior" to the boys

Crazy how much faith WCW had in Sid back in the day. Didn't know he was booked to beat Vader at Starcade 93 but because of that stabbing incident with Arn, Bischoff had to suspend him and put in Flair.

Hogan really tried to get Vince to match his deal when he first came to WCW

Pillman was a mess before he died and everyone in the company knew it when he was failing his drug tests. Vince didn't seem to give a shyt as long as it wasn't steroids. at Vader not being pissed at the death of Pillman but, mad he had to come up with another finish that night on Raw since Pillman was apart of it.

WCW could've had Tyson before WWF but didn't want to pay him

USA tried to match the contract that TNN gave WWE but Viacom (who owned TNN) gave Vince the football gig which USA couldn't give them.

Real talk, I respect Vince more after reading this book. Here's a guy who almost went out of business 3x (If Mania 1 didn't pop he was dead, went almost out of business after the steroid scandal and WCW almost put him out) and still a fukking billionaire. Not to mention, he failed with other business ventures along with movies, that bodybuilding and football, bullshyt and still conquered the wrestling biz.

Really good book. You crehs should also checking out the "Titan" trilogy from History Of Wrestling. Covers the decline of the WWF in the 90s in great detail. I got them as ebooks
