Yeah in my friend's case the doctor put it in too high which basically rendered it ineffective. He said the hospital was looking for a doctor to blame AS SOON as they called and said his wife was pregnant. They started pointing fingers at doctors immediately and everybody involved was on status because they thought they were going to get sued.

When he said he wasn't going to sue the person handling his case was like 'yeah your child is always a blessing'

My EX had one and she didn't get pregnant. She had it in her for a year or two if not longer.

The IUD works for some people and it doesn't work for others.

After the insertion of an IUD you're told to use another form of birth control for 1-2 months; with a follow up appointment 6-8 weeks after the procedure to ensure it's still in place.
