It did and it was well deserved too.
I feel sorry for any match that took place after it with blood and everything else strewed all over the mat. At 12:04 you can see the crowd and photographers behind Slaughter getting out of the way because his blood is splashing all over the place.

Old school stuff is good, this is still one of my favorite matches. The entire match is mainly punches and chain chokes but it's a really good match. Check it out.
These old school wrestlers who are still around can teach these younger guys this stuff. Jerry Lawler used to wrestle a whole match mainly using punches. Old school wrestlers knew how to throw some good looking punches and plan the whole match around them. You don't have to go 100 mph all the time.
