He is getting his points, though the efficiency is down quite a bit. It could be a matter of shot selection, bad luck, or both.

I would imagine things would pick up as the season goes on. Something to revisit in a few months.

Talk about taking a leap. He's averaging 20ppg and just dropped a 20/20/10 triple double. Hes gonna be a monster in this league. Game is very smooth for only his 2nd year.

So while Shai wound up with the highest scoring average of his career (24.5 PPG) his efficiency for the year looked down.
He did seem to play much, much more efficiently in the 2nd half of the season -- albeit just 13 games.

Shai seems to lag behind in the minds of the casual fans who think about star talent at the Guard position in the game.
He's not nearly as popular as Trae Young or even Dejounte Murray or Devin Booker.
