Being that I am 23 I am kinda too young to know how this shyt was poppin in the clubs, but I remember both being huge ass hits. But which one really got more attention for doing what it set out to do. This is around the time The Neptunes were RUNNING shyt gotdamn.

"Shake Ya Ass" was the bigger hit by far, as far as airplay and whatnot...and it is a classic.

It is also one of the few cuts where the edited version is arguably better than the regular. "Shake It Fast" > *

It is extra special to me because it came out like the last couple months of senior year, so it was
at all da porties and whatnot. It was the last cut that was playing when I left the after porty Grad night. memoriiiiiiies...

...but "Light Ya Ass On Fire" was bananas, and prolly my favorite of the two. I tried to find "Hazyville" on the map. lol

They are both great ass shaking classics even the Light flew under the radar. I'd say Mystikal for the raw energy and Pharrell and Busta for the smooth creative flow. It's more of a yin and yang dynamic here than who's better.
