Article basically says Stephen A claims he has sources that say Shanahan wanted to stay at 6th and draft Tannehill instead of trading up for RGIII. Could be the reason for the beef between coach and QB? Would Washington have been better off taking Tannehill and keeping two 1st round picks and their 2nd round pick? Or was drafting Bob Griffin the 3rd the right decision?

Would they still have been able to draft Cousins and Morris? If so then they should've kept their picks.

Tannehill is nice. And not having to give up what they did to get Bob you would assume would make the team better overall.

Uncertain grounds
When I heard that Tannehill didnt really know the teams in the division, I immediately wrote him off, but he isnt turning out too bad. With that said, I dont think he is really significantly better than Cousins...so Id rather have used the 6th pick or trade down for defensive needs (Poe or Kuechly) and roll with Cousins (or retrospectively, Russ Wilson), and kept the future picks.

RG3 wasnt a terrible idea though..can't forecast injury and he led them to the playoffs as a rook...the loss of future picks hurt, but I dont see Tannehill ever really separating himself from the average/above average tier and into the great or elite tier so I wouldnt have used the 6 on him.

the National Football League

Even in this injury riddled mess of a season, RG3 has put up better numbers than Tannehill.
Bruh, their stats are nearly identical. Some go Tannehill some go Bobby, only difference is Miami has a better record and Bob has been injured every year in the league
