Ur not necessarily buddy buddy with the athletes and don’t necessarily have the relationship ex-athletes have. It’s why athletes that switch to journalism sometimes struggle imo. As a journalist you take what comes to you whether you get fired or not, but your supposed to live by your word and statements, regardless of what the public thinks or if it’s right/wrong. Skip is from thst school. This again reveals how powerless black athletes and entertainers are. This is the downside of all that pretend fame and access. When it gets real and your manhood is tested in front of the these twisted people.
