At this point I think he's locked into contractual obligations. That and we all see what's going on, even among white people: They see Shannon as the good guy and Skip as the bad guy. Shannon, in many ways, is elevating his brand of sorts and coming across as someone you'd want to watch and listen to. Skip's lack of decency, either on purpose or by accident in his troll game, ends up elevating the other person unless they truly loses it.

Skip also said that he was under the impression that Shannon wasn't going to bring it up, meaning they discussed this beforehand.
