Schooling people takes forever; don't bother

  • i.e. downloading a file and getting something completely different like some random guy's parody of it, etc

  • having to virus scan multiple times a week using different software

  • Running dial up ALL THE TIME and having to begrudgingly disconnect when someone wants to use the phone

  • Freaking out when your computer decides to start up in the middle of the night when you know you shut it down
learning to not download .exe files, files suspicious in size, being able to download limewire pro, etc
  • finding rare music or new artists for the first time, elaborate

I remember finding out about immortal tech for the first time and downloading canibus and papoose freestyles

  • finding classic mixtape joints like this line-up that features everybody/mega remixes/g-unit remakes

  • random songs from limewire that are still not on youtube today or mislabeled/hard to find

  • downloading music videos like Hit Em Up etc

It was so hard to get an album all with the proper uniformity, same track names, same bitrate, etc. I ended up just using it for porn, got my first porn flicks ever off there(EBT: China and some shyt called Chow Dong with Diamond Foxxx).

Some cat had a blogspot back in the day called Classic Hip Hop albums or something where he would upload nikkas whole discog if you requested it and datpiff had every mixtape I ever wanted so I just used that for music. plus i was starting to fall out of rap fandom and it was easier to find direct downloads of non-rap shyt at the time.

Out of all the programs, Limewire was the only one I hated. I only used it to download songs. I never used it for albums. They were crafty at blocking a lot of material. I don't remember seeing anything on it with proper tags.
