This is false. In most shark bite cases the victim is removed from the site shortly or right after the attack. I can garuntee you if a shark bites you he is trying to eat you. Sharks "test bite" thier prey so that it can bleed out and not put up a fight when it's time to chow down.

Either way though I don't think anyone would want to be test bitten, even if they end up surviving it. So yes, sharks are dangerous but I think the point a lot of people in that field try to make is that they're not going out of their way to hunt humans, they're not evil creatures out to get you Spielberg style.
