Don't when internet searching (e.g. getting computers 'puting and such).

Shave when interviewing or hitting an event to network.

Good luck, b.

I'm shave to be safe, I had a interview last week I walked in there looking like Bron.

I'll grow it back after I get a job.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
You can trim your beard so it looks 'neat' so the only real issue is if the organization you're applying to has a facial hair policy that specifically states 'No Beards'. Never heard of a job where moustaches/sideburns weren't allowed aside from the Military for Basic Training/Boot Camp.

I get fukking terrible razor bumps, so its not that I mind shaving.....its just Id end up looking worst clean shaven....the best I can do it the 5 shadow look with the Liner....
Try using the liner to bring it down as much as possible. Then wash your face and then use the blade by doing only one stroke per area with the grain and without pressing too hard. Used to get razor bumps too til i started experimenting and now i barely get any if at all. I think going multiple times in the same spot and pressing hard creates irritation and also cuts the hair below skin level. So if your pores close up on the hair before it has a chance to grow passed the skin, the the hair grows beneath the skin and pushes against it (which creates the bump). Don't quote me on it though.

Probably depends on the industry and culture of the company. I think most places, you can get away with a well groomed beard, if you carry yourself well and everything else about you is polished. However this is subjective, as what you may regard as "polished" the person hiring you may not.

That said, I work in finance, and a company like mine will not give you a call back if you are not clean shaven and well put together.

So if you are not able to glean from your research what type of culture abounds for the company in which you apply, it's better to leave the guesswork behind and go for the most conservative route, which is no beard.

If you're tall, I would definitely shave it or at least trim it low.

You don't want to look too intimidating, I'm 6'2 and tall and muscular, when I have a beard, I look like Kimbo Slice, I can't be walking around a office like that.

I just keep a goatee for work.
