Ben Wallace will get in IMO, not a 1st ballot but he'll get in.
I said statistically he's there because just based on numbers he is/was better than a lot of the players that are already in the Hall.
He was usually in that 10-12 rebound range, in the 17-22 point range, he shot good percentages from the field, was usually amongst the league leaders in steals.
TBH with you though, looking at his stats just now I still think he's a fringe HOF guy but I'm less confident than I was before I checked the actual numbers.

I'd take Marion statistically over those guys prime-to-prime, especially if you consider what Marion was doing on the defensive end his whole career. It's a little difficult on the comparison side though as some of those are perimeter players and Marion, while he played the perim as well, was more of an inside guy.
I think if Marion had played his whole career with the Lakers or Knicks (and it played out the same way) people would be pushing for him to be in the Hall.

I think he will go down as one of the most underrated players in history. If you think about it, he's like the only player that maximized his athletic ability to become a really good player. In my opinion, he's the best on the ball wing defender since Pippen, and while he wasn't the best player on his teams, he may have been the most important. I wish more of these players worked as hard as him though. Then he was leading the league in mins played for like a 3yr stretch
I think he was like Jamison, only without having the ball given to him. But he scored, scored efficiently, he actually could handle the ball, but that damn form SMH! He rebounded better than SF/PFs got you steals and blocks. 18-20ppg 9-10rpg 2apg 2spg 1.5bpg. He doesn't get in the Hall though because of the lack of visually appealing game.
