I can't remember who it was but wasn't there a backup in Philly or Atlanta that ended up getting starting job in Houston. If you excel at being a backup you can get a shot. Was it Kolb? Or Schaub? Same thing with Matt Flynn. Shadeur is better than all of them right?

Dog. He went to the fukking browns.

The Yay
Eli and Elway are the 2 premier ones that come to mind.
That's kinda my point. Two first overall picks, one 20 years ago and the other like 40 years ago.
If this happens once every twenty years its an extremely rare occurrence and not some "shyt happens every day b" thing lol

I ain't never heard of a third day pick telling teams don't pick me.

I believe it must've happened before the draft. Aint no way his team could say that after the first 2 days of the draft.

I don't think that makes as much sense. I highly doubt him and his camp thought that he'd even be in the Ravens radar because they thought he was going first or second round. It wouldn't make sense to say that to the Ravens before the dradt because there's no way they were going to use a pick in the first three rounds on him.

Imagine somebody wanting to sit behind a person that we know for a fact won’t lose their job anytime soon. Shedeur did the right thing :yeshrug: There’s no rush. All this bad qb play and injuries are making SS look better and teams look stupid for passing on him every week.

WHY IN THE fukk
WOULD HE WANT TO
SPEND HIS CAREER SITTING
BEHIND LAMAR?

HE MIGHT ACTUALLY
GET TO START THIS SEASON
IN CLEVELAND.

Right. Bro is QB3 and has one of the highest selling jerseys out here. All he has to do is wait it out. Sitting behind Lamar would be stupid af. I don’t think teams who think they already have their franchise qb are out here drafting dudes.. I feel like they’ll sign some scrub if he’s available. Cleveland is a qb graveyard.. it’s just that this season they stockepiled qbs maybe because they didn’t see anybody they like for the next draft :russ:

Don’t know much about the old heads but from my understanding young was deemed a bust just happy to take any job. And then luckily Montana was out for two seasons.

Walsh traded for Young in 87’ because he was worried about Montana’s health, and figured he could mold the talented but unpolished Young into a great QB. Young was definitely considered a disappointment in the USFL and TB after being so highly sought after at BYU.

Montana had a career threatening back injury in 86’, and then got knocked unconscious by Jim Burt in the playoff game. Montana was a skinny guy, and there were always some questions on how long he would last.

Montana had a great 87’ regular season but stunk it up in the playoffs and got replaced by Young. So Walsh spent much of 88’ going back and forth between Montana and Young before finally going with Joe, and then Joe led them to 2 more SBs

Walsh apparently said (lied) to Young that he’d be starting by his 2nd season in SF. Young didn’t start until his 5th season, and that was only because Montana messed up his elbow. And in that season, the Niners had more success with Steve Bono than Steve Young. Jerry Rice would publicly say he liked Bono better because Young ran around too much.

There is no difference. Dummy fukked himself out of a good situation and ended up in a QB graveyard.

If he wasn't gonna sit behind Lamar he was for sure gonna sit behind someone else.

How is there no difference :laff: Lamar is entrenched as the QB for the Ravens for the next whatever many years and is currently negotiating an extension.

Flacco is old as fukk ,probably wont even last the season. There's clearly gonna be an opening in Cleveland way before Baltimore. Y'all nikkas act dense for no reason.

Flacco already on the way out. Dillon will get his shot soon and Shaduer will get his shot later in the season unless Dillon just plays flat out amazing.

None of that opportunity was coming in Baltimore. :unimpressed:

Yeah because Lamar Jackson is the guy I want to sit behind if I’m trying to be a starting quarterback soon :mjlol:

Bro it’s Cleveland. Shedeur could be the starter this damn year lol.

Look at this.. how many times have people sworn that Dak need to watch out after Dallas signed some quarterback who might have a halfway decent game or two after Dak gets injured? Meanwhile Dak still there getting money. Let Shedeur sit and wait for his time. I mean bro could get traded at some point. Who knows? Dillon Gabriel could be traded. Let shyt play out

So if he gets the opportunity and fails then what excuse will you and others pivot to? That they did him a disservice and set him up to fail by trotting him out there at the end of the season? How often do we see third string guys excel and then get the opportunity to be the starter heading into next season?

If he starts at any point this time, then that doesn't bode well for him, the other QBs or any of the leadership in that organization as that means everybody is getting replaced at the end of the season?

There is this thing called trades that teams do with QBs unless people would like to pretend that doesn't happen.
