It's funny reading what Deion said after hearing Brady talk about how all the development with the Patriots helped him early in his career.

Deion speaking from the perspective of a DB, which is a lot different from a QB.

I think I trust Brady opinion over Deion here.

Also another reason why teams likely passed. If that's what you've heard your entire life, from a guy whose entire image is based on individual glory/accomplishment, how can you possibly have the right perspective in the ultimate team sport position. You can be a hell of a receiver or DB thinking like that, but not a QB.

I'd love to know what he's doing in Cleveland now. Backup QBs are often given areas of focus, often by the QB coach. Maybe you look at all the third down coverages of the opponent and go over it during QB meetings. Or you go over protection calls, or whatever else. Shaedur doesn't strike me as the type of person interested in that aspect of the role. Maybe I'm wrong. But I doubt it.

Reading Deion quote idk how much he values the whole qb needing to sit and learn the game mentality. He's a sink or swim type

How in the world can somebody fault him for thinking, ‘Why in the world would I go back up Lamar for 10 more years?’ Who comes in with that mindset?” Deion said. “Where do these guys come from that sit on these platforms and say, ‘You should’ve sat behind and learned the game and developed.’ When have the pros developed anybody? By the time you get to the NFL they expect you to know what you need to do and do it, or somebody else is gonna get in there and do it.”

Sanders said young players learn by playing, not by watching.

“I’ve never sat on the bench and said ‘I’ve learned a lot today,’” Sanders said. “Who learns sitting on the bench?”
Pretty telling that the Eagles and Ravens, two organizations led by black Superstar QBs that would've been able to handle his celebrity and quiet down the outside noise were two of the teams that inquired about him.

Anyway, Prime is waffling as usual and clearly didn't have a backup plan because he was certain he'd be a Top 10 pick. That's what happens when you don't take the draft process seriously.

They figured he'd waltz in there with a chip on his shoulder, do a Russell Wilson and easily beat out a 40 year old Flacco and Dillon Gabriel in training camp. Unfortunately for them the gamble didn't pay off and now he's a 3rd string QB on a bad team and bad organization.

This is why elite players don't become great coaches.

Plus I think what's hurting Shedeur is Deion has been his coach pretty much his whole life until now

“I know for sure, I know if you see the quarterback play in the league right now, I know I’m capable of doing better than that,” Sanders said.

“I don’t think playing or not playing is in my hands,” Sanders said. “If things happen, things pan out where I play, then I’ll be out there and I’ll be ready to play. I’m ready to play right now.”

ESPN Cleveland got an “exclusive” with a 5th round pick :mjlol: I thought he didn’t matter much because he’s a 5th rounder. Guess it matters when you want or need to get these views. That’s why I want people to shut up about Shedeur. He can play whenever the time comes. There’s no need to rush

Imagining him backing up Jalen hurts would be hilarious. Jalen throwing for 130 yards but leading the game winning drive and winning the superbowl and Shaedur looking at him with the headset on like :scusthov:
