I miss when the south was dirty.
Breh. I grew up in Rosedale. Went to college in Manhattan. Lived and worked in BK, Manhattan and the Bronx.
I shytted on Joey Badass for being on that corny boom bap imitation bullshyt. Im The Coli's #1 Bigga stan :biggapls: Im not an out of towner.
I just dont see what NYC gains from imitating other regions. We did that shyt with the south for damn near a decade, and it got us nowhere.
Joeybadass is dope and is eating right now and has a legit fanbase with the youth.
Now this record here is not southern so idk where you get your ear from its actually sounds like a meek mill type of record. Now if you still think that its southern i ask you what is the problem with new york adopting a sound that is big in a culture that they laid the foundation. New york created not just a music but a lifestyle almost every little thing about hip hop from their mentality to little slang words derives from New York City KID. Now i dont know how old you are but New york is doing just fine
Flatbush Zombies
Asap Mob
Joey Badass
Action Bronson
Bodega Bamz
Are all acts that are doing something special right now and i think it will be acknowledged in time.
