You are right 'I wouldn't do shyt', I would never get to say what I would like to say,because the media wouldn't broadcast it, because it would be deemed 'hate speech' . In fact I wouldn't be on the panel or even in the audience if the producers of the show knew anything about my views. Do you like living in a society like that then?

Nah life isn't a dystopian novel yet. You could always do what people who are desperate for an audience do, which is make youtube videos of them in front of their computers politicizing. Seems to be a market for that.

Schools aren't officially stopping it or anything but it's definitely being celebrated less and less. By the time I was in high school we basically did nothing for the month, and my school was over 30% black. And I've read that Texas was trying to get history textbooks made that downplayed the Civil Rights movement and almost completely skipped over it, but I don't know what came of that.

A prayer or pledge of allegiance is a more insidious form of indoctrination, considering it's being normalized through the very fact that they don't have assemblies devoted to it. It's just something you do every day just because. It's like propaganda, it's more effective when it disguises the fact that it's propaganda.
