Haiti just joined and will be an official full-time member starting June after being a member observer since 2012. THis in no way affects their membership into other unions in the Association of Caribbean States.
It would be interesting to see other Caribbean Nations join in like Jamaica, Suriname, Guyana and others join in. It doesnt have the the perks of such unions as the EU but it's a start.
Wouldnt it be interesting to see ow this plays out 50 years from now as African Nations via the African union begin to extend their reach and influence across different continents.
