Should America go to a 4 day work week?

I think that Covid is going to push more businesses towards this. I'm doing WFH and most of my days I'm fukking off. Some days I'm literally fukking. But so was I while in the office.

It's really only a one day weekend, on Sunday your mind is preparing for Monday so you mentally can't relax and enjoy the day...

This is one of the main reasons i choose to work sunday when we have to work mandatory OT. Most ppl choose Saturday.

That's because maybe only 3 hours of work gets done between a 9 to 5 period but commuting 5 days a week and pretending to be productive for 40 hours is still a bytch

A grim fact that people struggle every day to try and forget:
You spend maybe one hour total to and from work in your commute
You're there for between 7.5-12 hrs.
You come home and spend maybe 3 or 4 hours awake.

You've given your employer most of your day. By the time you retire you would have spent more time working for someone than enjoying your own interests and time, that's assuming you didn't have kids who demanded your time as well. Your home is not what you sleep in, its basically your job site since that is where you will spend the most of your waking hours.

If you don't work with people you like being around and your job isn't somewhat fun, your risk of being a miserable and angry person rises dramatically. The alternative is you try to survive off a crumbling social safety net.
