Should being a one hit wonder only apply to signed artists?

Should a independent artist have that stigma attached to them aswel?

In my opinion being independent and having a song of yours chart pretty high but the rest of your catalogue doesn’t ,shouldn’t deem you as a one hit wonder because you don’t have a machine behind you but that doesn’t necessarily mean your album doesn’t have good songs on it. It just didn’t chart well

Good point so are we considering her a one hit wonder because of that or it doesn’t matter because she’s independent and got bangers in her catalogue
