Should grand juries be put together, postured and conveyed by race?

If black people object to how their being treated and want justice, should grand jury conveyed be of a particular race? Or just one race? Would it be fair. Especially if other groups do not see the same issue, and might be fooled to not support someone being victimized?

the jury is a minor issue. we need to change the mission of police in america. right now their mission is to control black and brown people. until that mission changes, any other changes will be too small to really change the dynamic.

and it seems their mission is to subdue various groups without impunity and use "laws" that do not apply or have context to someone else...and everyone wants to go along, to get along, that why the grand jury looks the other way...

no justification for callous malicious injury to people, because of a badge? civil rights violation?

one, cops should be reprimanded
two, sacked
three, face significant jail time for error in judgement

dont you face it?

the "law" is tooo one sided, and it assume, one party if right...

I think that would make things worse. An underlying issue is peoples prejudice but that's not something can be easily determined or changed.

ultimately, though the mission of police needs to be changed, the way we prosecute cops needs to change as well. an outside prosecutor should be the one to try all active duty police cases. asking a prosecutor who normally works with police every day to be able to be objective is too much, especially when the victims belong to a marginalized group.

grand juries will do whatever the prosecutor wants them to do, so as i said, the jury is a minor issue, at least in the preliminary phase.
