Should I buy a used drone for my beach vacation? Any Drone brehs???

Saw a couple of used drones on Craigslist for under $250. 4K cameras and all that.

Want to take some vacation pics and over head shots.

I’ve flown the little toy drones but nothing serious.

Should I buy it and learn on the fly or am I gonna lose my shut in the ocean and pool and waste my money?

Like many said, the drone might be tethered to the old user.

You can try a refurbished DJI Mini 2.

I have a DJ mini 2 and I have flown it several places. In the mountains, on the beach etc...... I fukked up and flew it on the beach one day where it was too windy. The wind carried it away and it crashed into some of rocks. Luckily only the front glass was broken. I suggest you spend no more than $300 on your first drone. The learning curve is more than you expect and you can easily lose your investment in a few minutes if you fukk up.

Remember pulling up to Dubai with my drone excited af to get some dope shots, get to airport, they like "oh you got a drone?" Like yea, oh ok, come with us.. Took me to a room and snatched my shyt. "Like oh yea we just enacted a law last week, no drones, come to airport early before you depart to pick up if you want it".. I was TIIIIGHT


Definitely check refurbish and fly it as much as possible prior to where you going. You can get lessons too but when I did the lessons first starting out it was overkill to me, check a good yt video should be ideal

Also, don't be afraid to consider buying brand new from Amazon and then just returning it before the window closes ...

Mini 2 or mini 2 se. Refurb is fine but used they could have crashed

I was gifted a real high quality drone. Its been sitting in a pelican case since I got it. Never even opened it


Not for nothing OP if you're at a public beach I don't think its a good idea.

Nah it’s private beach. Hardly anyone out there for miles.
