I wouldn't do it. You do realize that the TV has probably been on for a couple thousand hours right? Not to mention that plenty of dirty fingers have been all over it for months. It may or may not be covered under the factory warranty but I would just save a bit more and get something brand new. You could end up with a $425 paperweight.

When it comes to electronics id rather pay extra to ensure what im buying is good quality. That extra $200-300 you are saving now wont be worth it in the long run.

Breh unless the tv was refurbished than I wouldn't worry about it. Most quality TV's now a days will last you 7-10 years no matter how long you have them on. I've had my samsung flat screen for 2 and a half years now and that shyt is always on and it's the same quality as the day I bought it. When it comes to TV's buy the name. Samsung, LG and some Sharp/Panasonic models are the only ones you should fukk with cuz those things last long and have a proven track record. I would rather by a dusty old Samsung that I could clean up for $400 than a brand new Vizio or Toshiba that I know will stop working in 6 months to a year. Just remember there's a reason why a brand new Samsung, LG and Sharp tv's cost so much more than other models.
