No. First two are a must before you play ME3. There is a Mass Effect trilogy set coming out Dec. 4. $59.99
Played ME2 and loved it, played about half way through part 3 and threw it near the bushes (might play it again later)
download the extended cut ending, its free and it gives you more closure than the default ending
