i would choose atlanta because it has more black culture.
The only pros phoenix really has going for it are rent prices, bud prices, and close proximity to vegas/LA.
if you prefer to stay at home most of the time phoenix might be better. if you want to have fun atlanta.

Im in Atlanta, trying to get out as we speak. If you value your relationship don't come here. This is the land of milk and honey and if your resolve aint strong , ya girls friends gonna let her know she share that bruh. Also It's the land of flexers and fake wannabe stars, hope that don't catch ya girl attention either cause you might lose her. If you wan't to be around black people it is definitely the better choice than PHX.

Arizona while a beautiful state country side wise, is probably the most Ultra Conservative state in the union and the bigotry and racism there while mostly aimed at Hispanics is far from tame.
Plus it's too damn hot.

Southwest/AirTran is based in Atlanta. You can get tickets to wherever for $200 or less round trip.
