working at a dealership

Im the only porter there

Im washing cars parking cars giving people rides on the shuttle bringing cars to the technicians mop floors clean stations change garbage cans putting mats on the cars bringing people rental cars some times even test driving cars

Now my manager is a fuking prick, and gets mad over every wrong thing i do, or anything thats not his way of doing it.

Todays example he called me into the office for not mopping the bathroom(did it earlier but was dirty again) but i was busy washing a clients car and he was waiting.

He took a pic of the bathroom floor and showed it to the dealers owner

I go to work every day crossig the border at 2am and i sleep in my car havent slept in my bed in forever exept weekends. And they say they dont see me taking the job seriously

All for 10.50 an hour

What you say coli

God damn. You're in the struggle.

You seemed stressed out. At a breaking point. Do not snap bro. Do not quit your job if you can't afford to.

A) calm down.

B) write down what you think about this situation and edit it into something short and professional. Talk to your bosses. I think you need each other and this situation is correctable.

C) if you really hate your boss plot your exit while you stack your chips. He sounds like an a$$hole.

Don't forget to relax.

u goto quit that job dude. u cant be stressed out and looking for another job at the same time. if u can afford to, quit and find urself another job. for u to post this thread, i assume its getting to u. and i dont blame u. u have to lose that job. no job is worth that much distress, especially one paying $11 per hour, which is being taxed to death.

Great advice

I actually have a stressful, annoying, and seemingly unappreciative job as well OP... Especially since I commute often, work long hours, and often sleep in my car on breaks (if I even get one).

The last straw was today.. I requested the weekend off to see friends/family that are close to my state and even had someone willing to cover my shift. But they're trying to say the notice was too late (which as long as i had someone covering, it shouldn't fukking matter because we do this all the time) and that they scheduled me for some training for some shyt I did not even agree to be in charge of...

Im still going but I wrote down EVERY fukking complant I have about the company and how they handle business and will sit with my supervisors next week to discuss these things. Even tonight, im answering calls, emails, and tickets in the most dikkish tone because im quite sick of this dumbass place, sick of the commute, and I took lessmoney to be here.

I don't have nothing lined up because I turned a lot of shyt down but I still have my emails hit up every once in awhile with inquiries. If the VA hadn't fukked up my disability money, I would've quit weeks ago and its the only reason im holding onto this bullshyt.

If you have some money saved, quit, take a few weeks off, then go back out looking.

If/when I quit thats my plan

How come you only sleep in your bed on the weekends? Can't believe you only get paid 10.50 an hour, how long have you been working there?

Your manager may be an a$$hole but don't quit an alright job. It's better than working retail and making less. Stand up to your manager and see if he gets off your back.

It'd be way more of a hassle for them to to find someone new and have to train them, especially since you are the only one in your position there. If you quit with notice, they'll very likely try and have you train whoever is going to be your replacement. They might even try and fire you.

For some reason i cant quote

But yea i cross from TJ. I cross the border at 11(line is not that long at this time about 30-40 min) once i cross i drive 30 miles to work and sleep from 12-1 till 6:40 am, manager treats me like shyt even if i ask legit questions i have and he says to stop asking dumb questions and its the first dealer ive worked at. I get off work at 4 but with traffic and distance i get home between 5:30 and 6 pm

I get home so tired of driving and because im out in the sun pretty much all day. You gotta know in the deale theres maintnense shuttle drivers and people that wash cars, but they got me doing all of that, i cant split in two and do everything at the same time. Then manager has the nerve to say im not taking the job seriously or that i get to work looking tired. Motherfukker im sleeping in a car. Why should i kill myself in this job for 10.50? Im multi tasking so much shyt tryina not to fuk anything and still make alot of mistakes.

I also have to wear an ugly as fuk uniform which doesnt help with morale.

They also pay every 2 weeks. On the 5 and 20 of every month and my check comes for 600 something. I spend like 240 a month on gas

Start looking for another job. Then quit without notice.
I used to think like this. Now I believe in selling bridges and not burning them.

I milk the relationship for as much as I can get out of it until I don't need it anymore. Then I move on.

This job could be a stepping stone to more money.

You're at a perfect age to go back to school, if it's at all feasible.

Learn something technical, computers or a trade maybe.

You deserve more money.
Don't let anyone disrespect you, not even a boss. <3
