If the stitches are on your gum line, (wisdom teeth operation, etc.) smoke puts you at risk for dry socket. Which sucks terribly.

When I got my wisdom teeth out th Doctor warned me about it smoking and dry socket.

First thing I did when I got home was pack the back of my gums with paper towels then I rolled up.

No dry socket here
