Morning,

i have an interesting issue that i wanted some opinions on.

i currently work for a logistics company that makes several billions a year in revenue. i started here 3 years ago, been promoted quick, and i am well known in the company. Currently number 1 in a few categories

Recently, an upstart logistics company reached out to me because they want to hire me. The CEO personally has been calling me, and i aint even give him my number (The recruiter did). They're currently doing 100 million a year in revenue. This company offered me $30,000 more than i make now in Salary, but 2 percent less in commission.

For the company i am with, I get 18% commission on every dollar in net margin after i cover a 6K draw.

The other company, I have to cover 36,458 per month before i commission, which is at 16%

The company i work for is well known in the industry, and moves a shyt ton of shipments, but they have a shytty base pay.

What would yall do if youre in my shoes?

@PewPew It all depends on your end goal and what you want to do. You gotta have the end in mind.

I was offered a role that pay me much more than I'm earning now, but I turned it down as it isn't the "right" move for me because I know what the "move after the next move" looks like.

In my opinion money isn't everything. I'm not sure 30,000 is worth the potential headaches that might come with joining a new company. Besides I'm sure you could approach your current employer about matching or getting close to matching the increase.
