for everyone else, if there is no religious significance that you're attaching to sex and relationships, i don't see the justification for celibacy unless it's simply a choice. however, there is a justification for discipline.

I don't disagree with this. I would find it extremely hard to do voluntarily, but might be worth doing it for a period of time.

I was involuntarily celibate for my teens and young adulthood, and that shyt be having you hating life lol. But if you're fully capable of smashing and to take a break, I like the idea... I just don't think I could do it. I'm assuming this means I couldn't wack off either.
