Technically, it's a sound strategy when done right. But it slows the game down too at the same time. I can't say if they should get rid of it or not because it works from time to time. But it is annoying to see a poor free throw shooter like Dwight go to the line 25 times on some nights.

The Rockets averaged 106.7 point per 100 possessions this year...or 1.067 per possession.

If the player you're following makes more than 53.3% of his FTs, the fouling team is losing ground. Asik shot 56% from the line this season. He was 13/18 last night.
