As a 1st gen African (or 2nd? My parents were born in Cameroon, but I was born here in the USA), I never got accustomed to saying nikka. It just never felt right. I mean, I get why other say it (a term of endearment, since we go through similar shyt and all), but I don't know, it was never my cup of tea.
