I love how self righteous everyone in this thread is, assuming it’s his fault. Airlines are notorious for booking connecting flights too close to landing so you only have a slim chance of making the next flight. Been there a few times. It really sucks.

Once those doors close, that is it. No point in trying to get on, just go to the customer service area for that airline and get a seat on another plane. Get TSA Pre or Clear and get to the airport early to not deal with this.
