Tyson, Shump and JR![]()
Lol what? So I guess the 54 win season just never happened right?
Did Phil have any choice? If he did, I can guarantee he would have let Melo walk. He would have got killed by Knicks media and fans if he didn't give him that contractThank you Phil for that melo contract...You did it so we wouldn't have to![]()

Didn't Walton say if u can't play with Kidd u can't play at all?
Knicks had a 54 win season with Kidd, then he retired after the season, so yeah, try again.
Phil is outspoken and defiant as a coach, there is a difference between benching a player and letting the best player on the team walk. Melo makes Knicks money, and smart fans doesn't equal to all fans, there are a lot of casuals fans who would have killed Phil and Dolan, especially if Melo was in the playoffs right now and contributingMost of the smarter knick fans didn't want Melo with that contract for most of last year... Once it got closer to free agency though, pretty much all of them (at least on here) changed their tune and wanted to keep him
If Phil thought it was best for the team, he should have let Melo walk... Phil has always been outspoken and defiant, so I don't buy the excuse that this was a Dolan call...
