Soooo in this thread, we discuss lazy side hustles that can generate a good amount of money with very little effort or overhead cost beyond just Lyft or doordash.
Most of these will be entry level but some might require experience or at least a BA or associate degree.
1.) Tech support-I have a homeboy that does computer tech support from home. He stays at home playing video games all day while maintaining a 9-5 as a tech supporter. He isn’t the actual computer technician. He’s just the person that troubleshoots and routes you to the real computer techies.
Gets paid $30 per hour. So he just keeps his headset on and pauses his game or anime when he gets a call.
2.) Virtual personal training-
I love this shyt. Talk about cracking the code to getting paid to do nothing. It’s fabulous. Charge upwards of $150 per week to direct clients on how to exercise properly. You don’t even have to own your own gym! Zero overhead costs. Set up meal plans for people. All kinds of shyt.
3.) Pool monitoring-Before Covid, years ago I was a pool snitch.
Not a lifeguard. Nope. Just the pool monitor. The person responsible for making sure people using the pool were from the actual apartment.
I’d literally get paid to swim during the summer, read at the pool, have a drink or two. Invite MY friends over. Have lil pool parties. As long as nobody bothered me or got too rowdy, it was fantastic. One chick was hating on some “They pay you for this?!”
I’d make sure the filters were changed when I got bored. Hell I started teaching online classes WHILE working there to maximize my dough.
4.) Qualified Professional-If you have a BA and don’t mind working in mental health, become a QP to individuals with mild disabilities. Pay usually starts at $15 per hour per client. And usually overtime for stuff like respite care. My homegirl retired her husband off this shyt. They take on 2-3 clients and just have them do shyt with them the entire day. So imagine getting paid to chill at home with the homies that might be a bit delayed. Or helping mentor a teen on daily living stuff like how to do laundry or how to normally interact with people. Chill out with em, teach em how to play basketball. Integrate them into your daily routine while helping them with their living goals and get paid to do it.
Ya’ll got any examples? We putting at least $2000 in savings per month this year off side hustles. YOSH!
