Howard / Jordan Hill / Earl Clark / World Peace

For Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson

Or

Howard / Gasol

For Lopez / Joe Johnson (and other garbage pieces to make the money work)

Lakers basically get 2 stars for 1 (since Dwight aint resigning)... Dwight gets to go where he always wanted... His defense + KG would terrify other teams...

Book it (unless dwight is scared he wont be "the man" with so many other stars there)

Nah nets are better off with what they got now and the lakers aren't taking average joes contract

Prokorov (spelling) is ALL ABOUT the big splash...

Dwight took Orlando to the Finals by hiimself... Joe is, well, Joe... So, it would be absolutely no hang up on Brooklyns part....

Are you telling me, LA wouldn't take Lopez + Johnson instead of Earl Clarke, Artest and Jordan hill?

Because that's basically all it comes down to... Dwight is GONE regardless, you have to remember that factor...

So from the Lakers perspective, they are basically getting Lopez + Joe Johnson for Earl Clarke, World Peace and Jordan Hill straight up.

They would be fools not to do that

Brooklyn gets to buffer it's bench, and their defense shoots to #1 in the league

Dwight
Garnet
Pierce
Clarke (or whoever)
Williams

Bench: World Peace, Jordan Hill, Jason Terry

Both sides would be fools not to do it. We'll see.

Lakers:

Lopez
Gasol
Joe Johnson
Kobe
Steve Nash

Unless you somehow think they'll get Lebron in 2014 (which they wont), I don't see why not

The LI
Teams cannot acquire players in a sign and trade if they are in the Luxury Tax as of this summer.

/thread

Edit: to be specific "Starting in 2013-14, teams more than $4 million above the tax level cannot receive a player in a sign-and-trade transaction."

Yea we know the lakers have no chance at lebron, but they still ain't touching joes contract

And no Dwight did not take Orlando to the finals by himself :what: that Orlando team had one of the most balanced scoring rosters of any team in recent memory

:wtf: The fukk would the Lakers want Joe Johnson and his terrible as fukk contract?
Better trade would be:
T-Wolves get: Pau Gasol
Blazers get: Nikola Pekovic
Lakers get: Lamarcus Aldridge

Joe got like 3 years left... You act like he got 5.

The real steal in this situation is Lopez, and have Joe their while Kobe heals up.

But sure whatever you say.

Teams have to basically max out their Salary cap anyway.... Rather give the money to Joe Johnson than some other scrub.. And he's off the books in 3 years.

But yea the contract is "terrible".... Same way Boston took Wallace's "terrible" contract, because they had other prizes in the package.

Use your brain.
