Brehs,

First off recently turned in my 2 weeks notice to a job here in FL where I live, I'm moving to austin TX, work begins on 29th. Signed the offer, very happy etc.

However...

Another job that I applied to...that might have more potential to pay better, has arranged an interview w/ me. Same city location in TX, where I'm already moving. I would be crazy not to interview right?

What if i get that 2nd offer before I begin work at the 1st job? Would you back out on the 1st position?

Man, don't worry about it. They've dealt with it before. But if you get a position for the latter offer, make sure you push your starting date ahead enough where you can put your two weeks in at the first job - if possible. If not just tell them that something better came up and you regretfully have to decline. There weren't any penalties about breaking the contract were there?

Always do what's best for you. Almost any company would throw you under the bus when necessary, so don't hesitate to throw any company to the bushes.
Word...Imma interview and see how it goes.

The 1st job has a starting date of far enough ahead that I think I'll be able to fit in the interview process at job 2. Then if I get it and that salary lookin right, I'll politely decline job 1.

I'm not sure about the contract for job 1, i'll have to look. it's not like they are paying me to relocate or anything of that nature.

lol how is this even a question?

Take the new job and go for the one with a higher paying interview.

Quit if you get it. Companies will fire you if shyt goes down anyway...always look out for YOU

Dunno yet, things will be clear in a couple weeks

if possible make sure you look into benefits too. 401k, quality of health insurance, consider location etc.

Yeah.. only have loyalty to yourself. If the second company wants u and ask if you can start in one to two weeks... then work that other job, get that one paycheck... then transition. Thats unprofessional, but its what I used to do
