Trap is the most popular sub genre of rap now. But what are the similarities between it and other sub genres like Crank and ringtone rap?
I have this fear that trap will be extinct in 2 years due to oversaturation.
Basically, is trap similar to Crank and Ringtone rap (and other rap subgenres) in which it has a short period of heavy mainstream consumption and then it goes extinct in half a decade. Or can trap withstand the grueling tests of time.
