North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Already started reading and watching youtube videos on Python.

i'm gonna give myself 2 months.

the final exam will be to build an app and put it on iTunes by the end of the year.

I literally don't do shyt at work since I had to layoff 90% of my staff.

The app will be a tax prep people can use to do their taxes. I already have an EFIN so it will be legit.

What else do I need to or should learn?

Python isn't for building apps more so scripting and backend stuff. Sounds like you want to learn Swift programming .

But, look up tutorial hell and avoid it. You'll look up and have wasted 4 months.

Best resources I've found for beginner python are. "Learn python the hard way" and the Unclassified NSA course:

Free code camp - do it up until you get to the algorithms section to see if you like it

Some avant garde advice that might work for some - learn by reverse engineering.

Fine some basic sample code (form submission, calculator) and then hack on it to make it do something slightly to wildly different.

If you're looking to turn coding to a career, then I'd do this in tandem or as a side exercise to reading & courses.
