I dont feel sorry for black women at all.

black women have been wearing their natural hair with confidence and pride for over 200,000+ years.

Its only in the past 100 years, they started borrowing hair from women in Asia.

Not my fault they let the white man punk them out their own shyt.

Black women have been wearing their own hair in their own nations when they have been free of outside influences and brainwashing. The latter as well as a desire to conform since conforming meant upward mobility, acceptance, and sadly enough an escape from possible violence in other nations outside their own. If not wearing another person's hair it was the changing of their hair to match that of where they were, something that at one point, even black men did. You're viewing this too simplistically in an attempt to indict black women as this monolith of foolishness when in fact many of them are merely victims of a society that has not given them much leeway due to one reason or another. It is like this: black women have a hair texture that is entirely unique and makes them stand apart from many, if not most groups of women. For this reason, immediately, they are cast into an unenviable role of being something of an outcast. Because of this, they are their own beauty standard, afrocentric beauty standard. All other beauty standards can be linked to eurocentric beauty standards as far as hair goes but black women are in one standard all by themselves. They can't shave their hairs down like we can to gain acceptance since even in Africa, we shaved out hair down for one reason or the other. Beauty standards in general are tied to hair, regardless of who is doing the judging. Understanding this, it is understandable that women would go to the lengths they go to for their hair, and even more so understandable when they are beside themselves when they lose it, the latter which in their minds is not supposed to happen. Barring that, such is a sentiment that even other races of women share. There is a reason why a majority of chemotherapy wigs are for women. Even more so, why many insurance companies will pay for such things for women but not men. I'm not fond of weaves and such but I'm not fully mad at them for it. :yeshrug:

The reason I said I dont feel sorry for them is because they replicate this behavior all over the world. Its a cultural element now - no longer needing the influence of outsiders.

From Africa to Miami to the Caribbean.... Even in black nations - you see the same thing - so I cant really accept the "laws and brainwashing" excuse.

correct - which is understandable - especially in situations where people are under a military occupation. I understand that.

But we free now.

depends how you look at it... In my opinion, the hair industry should belong to them. The only reason I can tolerate the fake hair bullshyt is because I know alot of BW who do hair and its a big source of cash.

I can put my feelings to the side when theyre bringing revenue to the community, but this hair shyt is sending billions out the community.

Too much going out, not enough coming back.

they are their own beauty standard, afrocentric beauty standard.

Black nations primarily were under extreme colonialism, far beyond what other countries dealt with.

These things take time. The robbing and hiding of our history by whites is part of the problem since if people understood their history in full, they'd not fall for these tricks. Mostly.

This is true. The lack of entrepreneurial spirit is one thing that is hurting the black community as a whole but how much of that is due to a lack of connections or many other aspects that would not only instill that in people but foster that as well? It is easy to think that way when it seems possible. I do think these things will take time to fix but hopefully they will.

I love when people do stupid shyt in public and then act like it’s something wrong with people who comment on their stupid shyt.

nikka literally stopped one of the biggest nights on tv live with millions of people for alopecia. But everyone else is overreacting :dead:

One of the things that I hope comes out of this is a renewed focus on alopecia. These doctors and scientists came up with a vaccine for a never before seen virus within a year. When they gon cure baldness?? :dahell:

If they was on they job, none of this happens, Jada never loses her hair, Chris doesn't make the joke, Will doesn't slap him.

Fauci is the real enemy here :dahell:

I agree but most of them dont care about their history....I've met some who are interested and we could talk for hours and hours.... but alot of them think history is boring.

its sad when Meg The Stallion holds more weight than black women who fought against colonial regimes and ruled over nations in the past.

If they dont care about their history, I cant feel sorry for them bro.

yeah cacs stole the history... but most BW aint searching for it either, lol

The history is available for cheap
