It's worth a shot for a new company to try it. Why not? It failed in the 2000s sure but that JMMA craze peaked over ten years ago. there's people out there who long for that era of Battlarts, RINGS shoot style and no company is filling that niche anymore.

I don't think going full Pancrase would work out. Wrestling fans/Americans do not have the patience to watch grappling. But I do agree...there's a lot of elements from fighting they can take into the wrestling world.

I agree. Most wrestling fans have the patience of a roach and 20 minute match with nothing but ground game would be disaster :whoa:. I mean they can do the athletics of a promotion like Pancrase, while doing some storyline fukkery that could be a complete balance for wrestling fans. It just seems silly that wrestlers are trying to look like shoot fighters, but not take the grain with the work:ld:.

The better version of this I thought was UWF; it was worked wresting done in a more realistic style, emulating some aspects of MMA:

Also people still enjoy the pageantry and cliches/tropes as part of the whole "geek/fandom" thing becoming mainstream in pop culture
