Robert “Bobby” Horne, better known as Sir Mo of Men on a Mission joined Jack E. Jones and One Inch Biceps on the most recent episode of In Your Head Wrestling Radio and discussed a number of subjects, including his late friend Nelson Frazier Jr. (better known to wrestling fans as Mabel, Viscera, and Big Daddy V), his training under George South, and his work in WWF.

Mo said that he had thought that they were doing very well as “Men on a Mission” until they were suddenly called to meet with Vince McMahon about five weeks into their time with WWF. In the meeting, McMahon said he thought Men on a Mission needed to go on hiatus because things weren’t working out well. When the team—accompanied by their manager Oscar—pressed Vince for more information, he eventually expounded on the matter.

“Vince said, ‘Well… Aw hell, I’m just going to say it: They guys you work with around here are a bunch of pussies… They’re all afraid of you guys. You guys come in, you don’t say much to anybody about anything and everybody’s afraid to get into the ring with you because they don’t know nothing about you.’… So the issue was that we were being somewhat anti-social.’ Mo said the matter was rectified the same day when a company meeting was called and the Men on A Mission re-introduced themselves to the roster and discussed their respective personal stories. They also started socializing more with their peers after events.

Mo indicated that more problems for their team came about when some wrestlers started complaining that it was tough to work with Frazier because of his size and power. He listed a number of injuries caused by including an incident in which The Undertaker’s eye socket was cracked and an injury suffered by Kevin Nash when Frazier sat down hard on his back at SummerSlam ’95 .

“The straw that broke the camel’s back was at the Royal Rumble ’96. If you go back and look at it, nelson gives Henry Godwinn a splash kinda close to the ropes. When I came back to the dressing room… Nelson and The Undertaker were nose to nose, about to get into fisticuffs because Nelson apparently didn’t keep his weight off of Godwinn. He was in the back spitting up blood or something.”

Mo shared that “Macho Man” Randy Savage was one of the biggest supporters of Men on a Mission up until he ultimately left the company. He remembered the “Lex Express” rap that Men on a Mission did with Savage as a highlight of his work in WWE. He also said that Bam Bam Bigelow was great to work with and recalled that Bigelow gave Frazier a lot of tips on how to work properly as a “big man.”

Jack asked Sir Mo if The Kliq was as bad as people had made them out to be with regard to backstage politics. Mo recounted a story in which The Kliq refused to work a specific show, prompting Vince McMahon and Pat Patterson to fly to their location via private jet to personally negotiate with the group. He also recalled a specific incident with Shawn Michaels.

“The Kliq was strong,” said Mo. “Case in point: Shawn Michaels assaults me, I tell him, ‘Don’t ever put your hands on me again or I’ll beat your f——g ass,” and I get pulled off TV for nine months.” He said his locker-room altercation with Michaels began when Shawn blindsided him with a forearm to the back because Michaels was annoyed that Mabel had gone home sick from an event. Mo said that he was still required to attend shows for the whole time he was off television but noted that he was only paid a per diem rate for his presence and after dome time, he began to become despondent and suicidal over the downturn in his career. He indicated that it was Davey Boy Smith who finally pulled him aside and explained that Mo was the target of backstage politics because of his run-in with Michaels. He also noted that Randy Savage gave him words of encouragement during the difficult period.

“The Macho Man pulled me to the side. He said, ‘Whatever you do, bro, don’t ever take yourself out of the game’,” recalled Mo.

Some of these stories about Michaels are absolutely disgusting. Just a shyt human being during those days. That's why I have a hard time watching some of the shows from 95-97. I was the biggest HBK fan when I was a kid, and after reading dirtsheets and watching shoots, I can't believe that I cheered for this a$$hole.

As far as Mabel hurting folks, i get it comes with the territory but i know it cant be easy to watch how much you drop on people at that amount of weight, BUT those folks he injured or saw him injure other people have a right to be pissed.

As far as HBK, still my GOAT but somebody (other than Bret) should've snuffed him and then jumped ship to WCW. Its not like he was untouchable with the amount of times he 's got in folks face, its the matter of the people he hung out with was all bigger than him lol.

Clearly from the story presented by the OP, he was untouchable. That's why nobody snuffed him except for the marine :lolbron:. Bam Bam and Bryan Clarke hated dude, jumped to different promotions and still didn't put hands on him.

untouchable in the sense of he'll never get in trouble for anything, but every last one of these dudes as we all could see had the WCW option which was guaranteed money. Why not say fukk The Kliq go for broke and slap fire outta HBK.
