to me the sonics problem is they had no finals experience and came out like a deer in headlights the first 3 games, especially guys like detlef shrempf. when they finally stopped playing scared they were good matchup. they played better defense on MJ than any other team in history i think. he was reduced to a volume scorer and only shot like 39% from the field that series.

I remember giving myself hope for the series thinking that GP was an all-world defender that could lock down Jordan and give us a chance.

I also remember cursing the Sonics for not making it through the West one year earlier.
