What's the backstory on this

When Northwestern (Wilbon's school) was facing Vanderbilt (Skip's school) in the tournament in March Skip decided to start trolling Northwestern. Wilbon at a Northwestern pep rally reminded everyone that when he was writing for the Chicago Sunn Times he turned down the offer to be the featured columnist so they hired Skip after he left Dalllas and Skip's first column was bashinng Jordan saying he was overrated and how he needed help.

What's the backstory on this

The first time I remembers seeing him he was on Jim Rome's show on Fox Sports back in the 90s, shytting on Jordan. Fast forward a decade he treats him like he never missed a shot. I remember when he referred to Brady as 2nd tier QB. Now he worships him. He's following the same template with Bron. 10 years from now, whoever the highly touted young stud will be held to "Bron standards". It's actually funny when you think about it.
