Skip Bayless made a pretty good point today.

Well, he's slow as fukk. Prince Fielder is in worse shape than him but has quicker feet probably because he tries harder. Cabrera thinks he's too cool to put a lot of effort or show it. Also, Cabrera is one of those dudes who has to hit the ball 'great' instead of 'good' which both produce hits. He's extreme in his hitting is what I mean. But I'm going against the grain here so I'll stop, just my opinion. Of course he's elite, but over-rated in my mind.
that cool and all but im still trying to figure out what the hell you were talking about with this:

Also, if he isn't getting a hit to the outfield he's getting an auto out.

He is, because he has a 360 BA people think he's the greatest player. The pitchers now a days are trash compared to in the 90's. Also, if he isn't getting a hit to the outfield he's getting an auto out. Triple Crown last year his stats weren't that impressive, AL was lacking in stat category. Of course he's Top 100 all time, but near the 60-70 mark while everyone talks about him being the GOAT :childplease:
you think McGwire and Sosa were better hitters than Cabrera. That's one of the dumbest opinions I'll ever read.

ATL…overly
Intentionally walking is stupid, giving someone a free ride to the base. Only dudes who should've been intentionally walked were Bonds/McGwire/Sosa. Cabrera is over-rated as hell.

:wtf: how?

Who is they, with the GOAT talk...dude is 30 and has a long way to go in his career.....problem is you have NO real argument that backs up your claim of him being "overrated" so you shift the argument into the GOAT category which nobody is saying....you playing yourself acting like what he is doing is NOT impressive...

The Bay
1st off I got the best seat of both worlds, I'm from the bay and most of my fam/friends are Giants friends so I spent a lot of time watching Bonds growing up. And I'm an Indians fan, so I get to see Cabrera play often

What this comes down to is lineups. After Bonds batted, sure for a lil while you had Kent or even Santiago. But who was behind them. You walk Bonds then you face a decent hitter who you can either choose to pitch to or pitch around, but you wouldn't be in too much of a threatening position since he was only on 1st. The Giants always lacked decent 5-9 hitters in the Bonds era.

With Miggy, you have Martinez, Fielder and up to a few weeks ago, Peralta. You would be stupid to put a man on with all that fire power coming up. Thats why you were forced to pitch to Miggy. If anything if any of the other hitters are hot, then you can walk them with a lot less threat behind them. But the Tigers were loaded from the 3-6 hitters.

With Peralta gone, you might see it. But it's still pointless. You also have to look at the dynamics of each stadium and how much outfield there is and the deep gaps. Bonds was a lot faster than Miggy so a base-hit in SF could easily equal a double.

Put Bonds on a team with slappers at 4-6 then those walks are divided in half.

You can't walk Miguel every at bat because Prince is hitting 3.43 with 31 RBIs after a Miguel Cabrera walk.....Even if he's "struggling", It's fools gold.
