Skyzoo & Torae - Barrel Brothers Artwork & Tracklisting

After much anticipation, Skyzoo and Torae are finally going to deliver their ‘Barrel Brothers’ collaboration album. Here is a look at the official artwork and tracklist for the LP. It comes with features from Sean Price, Guilty Simpson, Sha Stimuli, Blu and Livin Proof. Production is handled by Jahlil Beats, Illmind, Black Milk, DJ Premier, Apollo Brown and more. The project will be released on May 27th.

Skyzoo might be the best rapper on the planet right now, as far as I'm concerned. Lyrics are obviously crazy, his flow is polished as hell and varies, and he has an excellent ear for beats. Don't think I've heard a wack verse from him yet. At the worst, he's at least in the conversation. He seems to find that pocket on every beat he's on and his flow is disciplined enough to ride it out for the whole song. That's a rare feat that only the elite technical rappers (AZ, Elzhi, Black Thought, etc.) can pull off on a consistent basis.

As a Skyzoo fan & supporter, I agree with this post 100% (minus the Elzhi comparison. Not a fan of his at all. ).

But realistically, his lack of personality and his sometimes "Boring" delivery is what I believe is keeping him out of that conversation. neither of those are a problem for me, but I understand how/why people often say that about him.
