Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. In the name of God, The Most Gracious The Most Merciful. Right on. Some Muslims are really good people, and not all Muslims are evil terrorists. I sincerely advise you to become a Muslim so that you will live the happiest life possible in this life, and have eternal Paradise in the afterlife. Islam is all about worshiping The Almighty and giving up of worship of anything other than The Almighty. Try to sincerely pray to God to guide you to the straight path and for whatever else you want and need in this life and the afterlife. Having the proper connection with The Almighty leads to happiness in this life and eternal Paradise in the afterlife. All of your questions have answers in Islam, as Islam is a perfected way of life from The Almighty. I only say this for your own benefit, and this is some of the most sincere advise i could ever give you.

My parents are both from Afghanistan. I was born in America and lived hear my entire life. My lineage is Afghani, but I'm American. I was never taught anything about Islam growing up, and after living the "American dream" my life spiraled out of control. So about 4 years ago i decided i needed to come back to God, and truly practice Islam the way it's suppose to be practiced. I found that God made my life better after practicing Islam. Now i'm trying to get as many people to be on the path of happiness and eternal Paradise as possible, as best as I can. Just give Islam a chance. It's The Truth.

There are a lot of temptations out there. Islam teaches you how to handle the demonic temptations perfectly. I'm glad you try to live a Righteous life. The Quran is the exact words of God, and the best way to live a Righteous life is to follow what God tells us, and then to follow what the Prophet and Messenger of our times (Muhammad Peace be upon him) tells us. Even if you try to live a Righteous life, it's going to be impossible without the knowledge that God and then his Messenger peace be upon him have shown us. Islam sounds perfect for you!
