Slaine speaks to VladTV about his album “King of Everything Else” and the features he chose for the project. Of the people he worked with, the Boston rapper says he only chose to work with good friends like Ill Bill, Vinnie Paz, and Tech N9ne, who Slaine became close friends with after they toured together in 2008.

Speaking more on the tour, Slaine explains that he had his pregnant wife on the road with him and was trying to juggle everything on tour, which Tech told him was not going to work out. At the time the “A World With No Skies” rapper was thrown off by the comment, but says he got divorced just two years later.

The divorce led to his “hoodrich lifestyle,” which Slaine reveals was a big inspiration for his album’s cover art. He says that he was just “wildin out” at the start of his divorce, and while he had fun, the rapper believes that his debaucherous lifestyle would have led to an early grave if he had kept it up.

This dude is like one of the goons you see in a movie about Boston. Kinda like the character he played Gone Baby Gone. I saw Slaine in concert with La Coka Nostra. Some dude from crowd jumped the barrier and hopped on stage. Slaine picked him up by his pants and threw him off stage :russ:.
